Note
In its Declaration of 9 July 2002, the Republic of Latvia declared that according to the sub-paragraph (c) of paragraph 2 of the Technical Annex of the Protocol on the Use of Mines, Booby-Traps and Other Devices as amended on 3 May 1996 (Protocol II as amended on 3 May 1996) it would defer compliance with sub-paragraph (b) for a period of 9 years from the entry into force of the said Protocol. The Republic of Latvia has the honour to inform that in accordance with respective national legislation the abovementioned Declaration ceased to have effect on 19 July 2007."
